To Qualify: The news intern must have published written work and an interest in reporting on local government, police, schools and community issues. Proficiency with a camera is a plus. Good research skills required.
The design intern would work with City Pulse's production director designing advertisements, toning digital photographs and laying out newspaper pages. Proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator required.

To Qualify: Excellent telephone and written communication skills as well as a basic understanding of computer office programs. A positive attitude is preferred. Legislative experience is not required but helpful.

Other: This individual will provide assistance to senate staff ranging in the areas of legislation, communications, constituent affairs, and general office management. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: answering phones, drafting written correspondence to groups and individuals, monitoring legislation, attending meetings, and conducting research.
